Description

The Create Titanium Magic Mirror Volume Cushion is a Korean flat iron designed for lift and soft movement rather than poker-straight hair. Create presents it as the 2020 upgrade of its best-selling Magic Mirror. The key idea is in the plate shape: instead of a flat edge, each plate curves away at the sides, so the strand bends smoothly instead of getting a crease. That rounded "volume curve" is what gives the model its name.

Under the plates sits a floating cushion. According to Create, it keeps the plates in tighter contact while spreading the pressure of your grip, which reduces stress on the hair and the risk of pulling. Combined with even heat transfer, this lets you shape a natural bend at the ends or through the lengths. The plates have a titanium coating that, in the manufacturer's words, heats quickly and evenly, helps keep moisture inside the hair and leaves a smooth, glossy finish.

The other new feature is an automatic shut-off. If the iron sits unused for about 20 minutes, the indicator light goes out and power is cut. To wake it up, simply clap the plates together twice and it returns to normal operation. Create notes this is the first of its dial-controlled irons to get this safety system.

The housing is compact, with an ergonomic shape and an anti-slip finish, and the top tip has a cool tip that stays cooler to the touch. The temperature dial sits where your thumb can reach it mid-service, and the 3 m cord swivels 360° so it does not tangle while you work around the chair.

Which width to choose. Create splits the two versions by hair length: VM 24 mm for short cuts and bobs, VL 41 mm for long hair. The narrow plate gets closer to the roots and handles short sections; the wide plate covers long lengths faster.

Made in Korea and supplied to order. In Korean perm salons it pairs well with Beati perm solutions such as Multi Silky Glow or Miracle Silky Glow, and with Beati aftercare for the final finish.

Who it is for

  • Stylists who create volume and soft waves with a flat iron.
  • Korean perm salons that need a finishing tool after the service.
  • Short hair and bobs (24 mm) or long hair (41 mm).
  • Anyone who wants gentler pressure on fragile hair thanks to the floating cushion.
  • Busy salons where an iron sometimes gets left on: the auto shut-off is a useful safeguard.

FAQ

Is this a root volume iron?

Create describes it as a volume and wave flat iron with rounded plates, not as a dedicated root-lift tool. The 24 mm version gets close to the roots on short hair more easily, but no special root setting is claimed.

What is the difference between 24 and 41 mm?

Plate width and weight: the 24 mm is lighter (around 230 g) and meant for short hair, the 41 mm (around 285 g) for long hair. Temperature range, power and features are the same.

What voltage does it use?

220 V / 60 Hz according to the manufacturer. We confirm voltage and plug type for your country when you order.

Can I straighten hair with it?

Yes, the plates clamp the full width of the strand, but the rounded profile is built for soft bends and lift. For a sleek, pin-straight look a classic flat-plate iron is the better tool.

How to use

  1. Plug in and set the dial between 80 and 200 °C. Choose the setting based on the hair; the manufacturer does not publish temperature presets by hair type.
  2. Let the iron heat up; the indicator stays lit while it is working.
  3. Take a fine section, close the plates and glide down while rotating your wrist. The rounded edge creates bend and volume, a straight pass gives smoothness.
  4. If the iron has switched itself off after a pause, clap the plates together twice to restore power.
