Description

These are the clips Create makes for its Twin Bell heated perm machine. The product description calls them the dedicated clips for this machine. There are 10 in a pack, and a Korean retailer gives the size of each clip as 5.5 × 5 cm.

What the clip does. Once a section is wound on a rod, it has to stay exactly where you put it while the rod heats and the program runs. The clip holds the winding in place, stops the section from unrolling or slipping towards the ends, and keeps the tension the same all over the head. That is what lets you get an even wave and curls that sit well once the rods come out.

The design is simple: two plastic jaws lined with teeth and a metal spring between them. The teeth grip the hair, and the open slots in the body keep the clip light. The plastic is dark grey with a marbled look.

Why use the Twin Bell clips. They belong to the same Twin Bell consumables line as the rods and the end papers, and the description names them as the clips for this machine. Create does not state that they fit rods from other machines such as the Minimini or Wave Master, so we offer them for the Twin Bell only.

Ten in a pack is a sensible spare stock. Clips go missing, springs wear out, and they wander to the next chair. Keep a few packs by the machine so you never have to hunt for the last one mid-service.

Who it is for

  • Salons with a Create Twin Bell or Twin Bell Plus machine.
  • Stylists ordering the machine and rods who want the right number of clips from the start.
  • Replacing lost or broken clips.
  • Stylists booking clients back to back who do not want to wait for clips to free up.

FAQ

Will these clips work with a Minimini or Wave Master?

Create lists them for the Twin Bell machine and says nothing about other machines.

How big is the clip?

5.5 × 5 cm, as a Korean retailer of this item states.

How many come in a pack?

10 clips.

How to use

Apply the perm solution following its instructions, fold a Twin Bell end paper over the ends and wind the section onto the rod. Close the clip over the winding so the section cannot unroll but is not squeezed too hard, then plug the rod into the machine. Program, temperature and time are set on the machine.

When the program ends, let the rods cool and remove the clips and rods. Rinse the clips in warm water to remove solution and let them dry. Create gives no separate care instructions, so stick to the general rule: do not leave clips sitting in solution and do not dry them on hot surfaces. The spring and the plastic will last longer.

How many you need. Create gives no per-head number. Usually every rod gets its own clip, so you need as many clips as the rods you use in one service, plus a few spares.
