Description

Dadatomo PuLeila Digital & Setting is a Korean heat perm from Dada Beauty. It comes as two soft 500 ml pouches with a pouring spout: a Hard Type step 1 for healthy hair and a hydrogen peroxide step 2. The pouch size suits a salon where digital and setting perms are a daily service. The pack reads "Spreading Beauty On Your Hair", and the brand promises a healthy, elastic result.

The lotion covers two techniques, and the manufacturer briefly explains how they differ. A setting perm forms the curl at a high 120-180 °C: firm, strong curls, recommended when you want the wave on the ends. A digital perm works at a lower 80-120 °C: a natural curl with less damage, which also works on short hair and can lift volume from the roots. This is the brand's general description of the techniques; the machine settings are up to the stylist.

According to the manufacturer, step 1 contains a heat-resistant ingredient that limits heat damage, so the lotion is recommended for clients who worry about the condition of their hair. The description calls this ingredient cysteamine, but cysteamine does not appear in the published full ingredient list: the reducing agents there are ethanolamine thioglycolate, diammonium dithiodiglycolate and acetyl cysteine. Conditioning ingredients on the list include ceramide 3, hydrolyzed keratin, jojoba seed oil, arginine, glycine and sodium PCA.

Made in Korea. We supply it made to order.

Who it is for

  • Healthy hair: the Hard Type version is designed for it.
  • Stylists doing machine digital perms and setting perms.
  • Salons with steady heat perm bookings, where a 500 ml pouch lasts for many services.
  • Root volume and short hair: in the manufacturer's description, these are what a digital perm is for.

FAQ

What are the processing times?

They are not listed on the product page. Go by the directions on the pack, and if you need them before ordering, we can check with the supplier.

Which hair is this version for?

Healthy hair: the step-1 pouch says Hard Type and "for healthy hair". For damaged hair, choose a lotion that has its own schedule for damaged hair.

What do I neutralize with?

The hydrogen peroxide step 2 is in the kit. The manufacturer does not claim compatibility with other brands' neutralizers.

Are PuLeila and Pureira different products?

No. The pack spells it PuLeila in Latin letters; the Korean name 퓨레이라 is often romanized as Pureira.

Safety and storage

From the manufacturer:

  • Stop using the product and see a dermatologist if red spots, swelling, itching or irritation appear during use, or if such reactions appear on the treated area after sun exposure.
  • Do not apply to areas with cuts, eczema or skin inflammation.
  • If it gets into the eyes, rinse immediately.
  • Close the pack tightly after use, keep out of reach of children, and do not store in very hot or very cold places or in direct sunlight.

How to use

The manufacturer's product page does not give processing times for step 1 or step 2; full directions are printed on the pouches. Follow them together with your hair assessment.

What the manufacturer says about the two methods:

  • setting perm: high heat at 120-180 °C, firm and strong curls, recommended for the ends;
  • digital perm: lower heat at 80-120 °C, natural curls, suitable for short hair and root volume.
