Create digital perm rods 12-30 mm and long rods 18-25 mm

Create Minimini in Multi Perm rods are heated rods for digital perms on Create's Minimini machines. The rod plugs into the machine, heats up and holds the curl shape while the program runs. You choose the diameter as a product variant: nine regular sizes from 12 to 30 mm and four long rods. They are sold one by one, so you can build a set around your technique or top up the sizes you are missing.

According to the manufacturer, the rods give off a high level of far-infrared heat, and a change in the colour of the band on the rod shows that it is heating. The manufacturer has also changed the marking: the band used to be purple on every size, and now the colours rotate by diameter (red, orange, purple, blue), so you can grab the right size from the trolley without looking for the number on the rod.

The long rods are a separate 13 cm version in 18, 20, 22 and 25 mm. The manufacturer says they give a full wave on long hair. The body is waterproof, so the long rods can be used for direct perms, and the ridged, textured surface stops sections from slipping while you wind and helps keep hair from tangling. How they differ from the Create Wave Master rods. These are two separate lines for two different machines. Minimini rods are dark purple with a colour band per size, come in 12 and 24 mm, and the long rods top out at 25 mm. Wave Master rods are brown, made for the Wave Master machine, and have their own size range. Check which machine your salon uses before you order.

The manufacturer warns that Multi Perm rods are easy to mix up with Twinbell rods. A Multi Perm rod has a pin sticking out at the top, while a Twinbell rod has a recessed socket. If you have a Twinbell machine, these rods will not fit.
